Thank you Makeisha--for setting up this network. (BlackHealth.org) (362 hits)

No wonder the universe was holding me back from blogging on BWC about some health concerns I wanted to share. There is a reason for all things. I just hope that many of the sisters on the other networks become aware that this is here, since many have serious and chronic health issues.

Thank you Melanie Kelly,It just dawned on me today after you post on exercising while sitting, that you know Mr. Bailey. I met him at the Harlem Health Fair two summers ago, and connected him with my daughter who is a fitness instructor.

My type of research is approached the way I approach my ethnographies. I have held certain beliefs at bay, until further proof developed. Health care is a convoluted, multi-faced field. What works for one will NOT necessarily work for others. All doctors are not Gods, and I will blog on several experiences regarding myself as well as my 93-year-old mom. As well as being proactive about our health.

Again, I thank you so very much for your concern, and commitment to address our health issues and for thinking of me and sending an invite.

Makeisha, it's refreshing to know that you know your stuff!!!

Be Well,

Marta
